COPPA Direct Notice

Effective June 6, 2026

Before GameSense HQ collects any personal information from a child under 13, we give you — the parent or legal guardian — this direct notice and ask for your verifiable consent. This page is that notice, written in plain language, as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 16 CFR Part 312).

Why you're reading this

GameSense HQ is a soccer-training app for kids ages 6–16. A child never creates an account, signs in, or uses the app on their own — you own the account and each child is a profile under you. Because a child profile involves some information about a child, the law requires us to tell you directly what we collect and to get your consent first. You give that consent inside the app when you add a child, and you can withdraw it at any time.

What we collect from your child

Only what's needed to run the training experience — nothing more:

  • A first name or nickname you enter (display only)
  • An age group / age band and an avatar color you choose
  • Training activity the child generates by using the app — drills completed, minutes trained, XP, level, streaks, skill mastery, and badges
  • Crew membership (a parent-approved, friends-only group) and the preset encouragement "pings" sent within it

We collect no precise location, no contacts, no photos or video of your child, and no free-typed text from your child.

How we use it

  • Deliver the training program and track progress, streaks, and achievements
  • Surface coach check-ins and run safe, parent-approved crews and crew-only leaderboards
  • Keep the account secure and provide support

We do not use a child's information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the app, and we never sell or rent it.

What we never do

Children cannot record, upload, or type free text anywhere in the app — coaches film every drill demo and check-in. There are no public child profiles, no behavioral advertising to children, and leaderboards stay limited to a child's own parent-approved crew, never public. We do not condition your child's participation on disclosing more than is reasonably necessary.

Your rights as a parent

At any time you may:

  • Review the information tied to your child's profile
  • Delete a child profile, which removes that child's personal information
  • Refuse further collection by deleting the profile or closing the account
  • Approve, deny, or remove every crew connection, and report or block any crew member

You can do most of this directly in the app from your parent dashboard.

Giving or withdrawing consent

You give verifiable consent when you check the guardian-consent box and add your child during onboarding; we record that consent (its version and date) against your account. To withdraw consent and stop all further collection, delete the child's profile in the app or email us and we'll act on verified requests promptly. Withdrawing consent does not affect collection that already, lawfully, took place before you withdrew it.
